Coffee Shops in America

coffee shops in AmericaPlease send me your favorite coffee shops in America. Once I get a good
long list, I will make it into a database that people can easily discover. The idea is for coffee purist traveling to cities around the U.S. to be able to discover and taste good coffee from shops other than Starbucks.

When you submit your coffee shop, please tell me why you like the coffee shop, what the atmosphere is like, the taste of the coffee and why others should consider stopping in for a cup.

Right now the only real coffee shop in my area is Capalano’s in McMinnville, TN. It’s actually pretty good. They have an artsy, laid back pub sort of feel. They also sell beer, wine, and munchies. The free wi-fi is also a plus.

Hi there! I would suggest you check into Rock City Books & Coffee on Main Street in Rockland Maine. (Formerly known as “Second Read Books and Coffee” http://rockcitycoffee.com/secondread.htm)

They have second hand books for sale or to read while sipping one of their most excellent selections of coffee. They have it all from steamers to lattes. They even offer soy substitutes for those that are lactose intolerant or have special diet needs. In the summer they offer all kinds of live music. From acoustic, to blues, to jazz. My personal fave would have to be the “Raspberry Kiss Latte”.

From a cultural standpoint, coffeehouses largely serve as centers of social interaction: the coffeehouse provides social members with a place to congregate, talk, write, read, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups.

By extension, other religions’ feasts are occasionally described by the same term. In addition many countries have secular holidays that are moveable, for instance to make holidays more consecutive; the term “moveable feast” is not used in this case however.

You can not make pdf files without Adobe Acrobat (or one of it’s open source equivalents). You will not be required to make pdf files for this course; however, most of the resources in library databases are in pdf format. You will want to be sure to download Adobe Reader.

There is much to chew on in Southland Tales—porn, commercialism, drugs, politics, war, peace, god and Justin Timberlake.

“I started using marijuana when I was 10 years old, graduated to LSD and “"shrooms"” at age 12 and then to heroin, cocaine, crack, and crystal meth at 14. Since most of my family, including my parents, were druggies, I didn’t see much wrong with it. At 14, I dropped out of school and my mom kicked me out on the street. At 16, I was shot in the chest over a $20.00 rock and then overdosed on heroin and nearly died. That was 7 months ago and I am now 7 months “"clean"” thanks to Jesus Christ. I lost years of my life and nearly my life, but Jesus has changed me. I still get tempted but II Peter 1:3 says that “”...His divine power (Christ’s) has given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness..."” It’s His power that gives me all I need to stay “clean”
